In 2017, Pulp & Deckle became a fiscally sponsored project
of New York-basedarts advocacy organization, Fractured Atlas.

Fractured Atlas empowers artists, arts organizations, and other cultural sector stakeholders by eliminating practical barriers to artistic expression, so as to foster a more agile and resilient cultural ecosystem.

Pulp & Deckle is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Pulp & Deckle must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

When Pulp & Deckle began operating in 2012 we had to stretch our initial funding to purchase equipment and supplies to get the studio up and running. As we continue to grow and evolve we endeavor to provide more sustainable and affordable services & products.

Here are the ways your tax-deductible financial contribution will help the studio.

  • Mobile Studio : In the summer of 2017 an arson event destroyed our mobile studio truck (you can read more about that here.) While we have used our personal vehicle to bring mobile classes to offsite locations this is a temporary solution.  We were awarded a $3,000 grant from RACC’s Make|Learn|Build program this year to buy a custom mobile trailer, and received $8,000 from individual donors, getting us to 85% of our $13,000 fundraising goal for the trailer. Let's get back on the road in spring 2022 and bring pulp to the people!

  • Facility Improvements : In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic we moved our studio to our home in Oregon City, OR. Operating from our garage and yard is a familiar challenge. We would love to install a sink and better insulation to make the studio more functional.

  • Equipment Upgrades : We would like to work with local makers to build custom sizes of moulds/deckles for workshops and studio rental.

  • Community Outreach : We would like to offer more free and low-cost workshops and events via our website and YouTube channels.
