In this 2 hour workshop from 2-4pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 we'll use already prepared paper pulp to create one of a kind handmade papers. The pulps will be made from blue denim (old jeans), white linen (donated scraps from a local maker), and 2 other colors likely from old towels or sheets that will be a surprise!

The focus of the class is on learning the basics of Western style papermaking using rag fibers that are acid free and eco-friendly. We'll discuss the history and process of making the pulp prior to sheet forming as many pieces of paper as we have time to make. Usually around 10-15 sheets per student.

Class size is limited to 6, ages 12 and up are welcome. No prior experience necessary. We'll send you more info about the class via email about 1 week before the class.
